Annamayya climax, no doubt, is the ultimate that any devotee longs for. Whenever I watch that part, I really get so emotional: first time, I could not stop crying, especially imagine God appearing in front of him- with whom God has travelled in every phase of his life, practically all his life and then God reminding him different stages of his life of His physical presence – detouring his life towards God by kicking the umbrella made with flowers and taking him into the temple, convincing him to get married, holding the pelli pallaki on his shoulders and everything. Ammavaru and Venkeswara Swamy singing the songs that Annamayya has written is the ultimate of everything.
What more than that any devotee could ask for and what a moment to know that God has been travelling with us throughout our life – in happy moments, in sad moments -everything.
I get goose bumps everytime when I watch that particular scene even now I am feeling that while I am writing this. I get so emotional even if I think of that scene.
(manam rooju kolichae demudu eduruga nilichi mana jeevthamlo ayana adugaduguna manatho nadichina prayanam gurinchi cheputhu untae ae bhakthudikaina emi kavali – demudu mana kastha sukallo manathonae unnadaan nijam).

Antharyami alasithi, solasithe ….
Sri Ramadsu climax is no way less that that of Annamayya – but it is in a different flavor where Sree Ramadasu has refused God’s offering of “Moksha lokam – Ananda Lokam” by saying there is no such happiness without having smarana, keerthana, archana and bhajana of the God and without all those forms of worshipping God there is no happiness and that is not happiness at all.
And Nagarjuna’s emotions in both movies are at top-notch (undoubtedly we could see only Annamayya and Sree Ramadasu not Nagarjuna) ….
After these two movies, Nagarjuna would have said naa janma tharinchindi charitharthamaindi ! – నా జన్మ తరించింది, చరితార్తమైంది !
I tried to write my reactions to both climaxes but I do no think I have done enough justification of my feelings. The bottom line is I love both climaxes at different emotional levels ….
